How to Cope with Tricky People at Work
When it comes to tricky or sly people at work, you will find yourself wanting to play their games, however, if you stick to your work and do your job, you will be able to avoid all of the troubles that you will find with the tricky people and you'll be able to excel away from them.
The first thing that you will want to do when coping with a tricky person is to realize what type of person they are. First, you need to acknowledge them and then avoid them. You will find that it can be a difficult task, but you will need to learn from your mistakes. If this person betrays you once, you should never give them the opportunity to do it again. You will find that if you stop yourself from being a victim, you won't become a victium. There are plenty of other things that you can do to cope with a tricky person at work, but you will find that it can be just as easy and affect to just ignore them.
However, there are going to be some people who pinpoint you out of a crowd and will do anything and everything to make you made, angry, or seriously hurt. They will show as much respect for you as a piece of dirt. They will walk all over you, but the key is to stand strong. You will not only want to avoid them, but you also will not want to participate in their games. You know that giving in to them will only cause you more grief. It is about time that you learn what you can do to make it work with these people, and sometimes it means doing things that you don't want to do.
If you feel like things are getting that much out of hand, then you will definitely want to contact your boss or manager and tell them about how you feel and all the things that are being done to you. You are going to end up feeling a lot of things, but if you go to your manger you will have them validate your feelings and you will end up getting a lot more you of work than you would have imagined. You will feel support by your manager and they will hold a small meeting between the both of you and then you will be able to work out all of your issues in the meeting. This will make you feel about better about yourself and at work.
Finally, you should never let them see that they are getting to you. Basically, you will want to make sure that you do everything you can not to give them satisfaction. This means that you will not want to show them your true feelings of hurt or distress. When you show them your emotions you are going to find yourself in a lot more trouble than necessary and they will also win. You can not allow them to beat you down to the point where you just want to quit. You are going to have to learn when to take a stand and you will find yourself wanting to take a stand for yourself as soon as you realize that it's not just a game of trickery, but that they are really hurting you and ruining everything that you have ever worked hard for. Don't allow them to get the best of you, so you will want to stand strong against them.
It's hard to cope with someone who likes to trick others, but if you don't take a stand for yourself, you will never learn how to handle such situations and you may lose everything that you ever worked hard for.
